Six Easy Steps to Owning Your New Home

 
Starting a new Home with Quality Homes by Design, Inc. is easier than you think. We offer over 35 years of expertise, from designing a house plan that meets your needs or choosing one of our existing plans to acquiring building permits. We are here to assist you every step of the way. Just follow the Six Easy Steps outlined below. There’s never been a better time to get started.


Step #1
Give Us a Call - We’ll guide you toward a basic design concept and House Plan that meets your general design needs, building site requirements and budget. Then we will prepare a no-obligation Free Estimate, utilizing actual local area building costs.

Step #2
Architectural Drawings - Once a design concept and budget are established, our in house design team will turn your ideas into working drawings and blueprints. These are needed to seek firm contractor bids and to obtain financing (if applicable), and the building permit. To begin this phase, you will need to make a small deposit, which in most cases will be 100% credited towards your purchase.
Step #3
Construction Bids - Once your design and architectural work is under way; Quality Homes by Design, Inc. coordination staff will discuss your project with our local sub-contractors familiarizing them with the specifics of your home plan and assisting in their preparation of building your new home. We will keep the sub-contractors Informed of any changes or alterations needed during the construction of your new home so you can be sure that building is being done not just to our specification but yours as well.
Step #4
Financing - If you intend to finance your new home, Quality Homes by Design, Inc. offers preferred financing through several national mortgage lenders. See preferred lenders link. All information is strictly confidential, and there is no cost or obligation. Approvals often are returned to you the same day.

Step #5
Building Permits - Quality Homes by Design, Inc. technical staff, consulting engineers and our Design Team, will work together to expedite building permits and other approvals. Once technical data is submitted, building permits are usually granted with-in 30 days or less at which time Quality Homes by Design, Inc. will proceed with the construction of your home in a professional fashion and timely manner.


Step #6
Construction - Construction time for your Home will depend upon many variables, including size and complexity of your house plan, access to and terrain characteristics of your building site, weather conditions and availability of subcontractors, and so forth. While awaiting the completion of your home be assured that Quality Homes by Design, Inc. staff will be working to assist you with a smooth process not just from the beginning of construction and completion but long after you’re moving into your new home.
